Description
Representations & Certifications Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) Initial Announcement The objective of this effort is to conduct on-site research to develop a comprehensive understanding of relevant damage initiation and accumulation mechanisms and failure of aerospace materials under anticipated usage conditions in order to: a. Develop next-generation validated deformation, damage evolution, and material property/performance probabilistic prediction methodologies necessary for forecasting durability and reliability during service; b. Provide the technology required to efficiently characterize and accurately model/simulate the variability in material behavior and properties in support of design and field usage assessment of aerospace propulsion and structural components; and c. Accelerate the development and insertion of new materials that have been optimized for critical location-specific properties required for advanced components. Lab Tour: A lab tour is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 04 March 2014, beginning at 10:00 AM WPAFB Local Time. The tour will be restricted to labs in building 655. Prospective offerors should contact by e-mail BOTH 2d Lt Daniel McFadden and Dr. Reji John to arrange for base visitor passes for all members of the Offeror's team who will be visiting. The list of attendees will need to be submitted to 2d Lt McFadden NO LATER THAN 25 February 2014. Due to ITAR Restrictions on the Program, only U.S. citizens and permanent residents will be permitted on the tour. (Foreign nationals will NOT be permitted.) Offerors will obtain building complex access passes from building 653 lobby. 2d Lt McFadden will meet them in the lobby of building 653, and will escort them to the labs in building 655. 2d Lt McFadden will leave the lobby with the Offeror groups at 9:55 AM WPAFB Local Time. All base visitor passes will need to be obtained on 04 March 2014 from building 81 at Gate 1B by 8:30 AM WPAFB Local Time. For a map to get from Gate 1B to building 653, please e-mail BOTH 2d Lt McFadden and Dr. John. Their contact information is in the following section. Since all visitors must be escorted the entire time they are in the building complex, 2d Lt McFadden will remain with the Offerors throughout their entire visit.
