Modules must be capable of accepting aerobic, anaerobic or mycobacterial bottles. 5.The unit must be capable of 24/7 on-line modem linkage support. 6.From one position, the operator must have access to all drawers and bottles ensuring easy placement of any bottle. 7.The identification system for label use must be bar-code reader compatible. 8.The system must have a detection system based on manometry; the detection of pressure differences in the bottles. 9.The unit must provide easy front access to all electronics and components. The graphic interface should provide rapid access to positive bottles, negative bottles, bottle alerts, and instrument status information 10.Graphical data output assists with diagnostics and troubleshooting of positives and making decision points on "false positives". Data points should be analyzed with internal algorithms that create curves for easy interpretation and should be capable of curve analysis with time to detection is readily available, audit histories graphing and patient graphs. 11.The instrument must be able to test for anaerobic, aerobic, yeast and mycobacterial organisms. 12.The instrument must operate on standard line voltage of 117V and have UPS backup for the data collection. 13.Training for key operators must be provided. 14.Appropriate media must be readily available upon request.
