- Federal Business Opportunities Information Date: 14 February 2014 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-14-B-0011 On or about 28 February 2014, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the Spillway Chute Slab and Stilling Basin Concrete, Joint, and Subdrain Repairs, Garrison Dam, ND. The solicitation will close on or about 28 March 2014. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A site visit date has not been established at this time. The site visit information will be issued in the advertisement specifications. (See Section 00 21 00) DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See 'Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) Basic work shall consist of approximately 3,400 square feet of partial depth (minimum 6-inches) concrete removal and replacement on the Garrison Dam Spillway located near Riverdale, North Dakota. This work will be performed using hydrodemolition equipment along the station 62+50 construction joint which is situated on the 20% slope transition from the chute slab to the stilling basin. Optional work includes an additional 8,200 SF of hydrodemolition from station 45+00 to 46+50, approximately 230 linear feet of cast-in-place pipe (CIPP) repairs, rehabilitation and resealing of nearly 13,000 linear feet of concrete contraction and construction joints, and roughly 300 SF of spall and patch repairs by hydrodemolition. The estimated construction cost of this project is between$1,000,000 and $2,500,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete.
