- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE FOR GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR WILMINGTON, OH WEATHER FORECAST OFFICE LANDSCAPING/GROUNDSKEEPING SERVICES NOTICE DATE February 13, 2014 NOTICE TYPE: Pre-solicitation Notice NAICS: 561730 -Seasonal property maintenance services (i.e., snow plowing in winter, landscaping during other seasons) Contracting office: Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Region Acquisition, 200 Granby Street, Suite 815 Norfolk, VA 23510 The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service, Wilmington, Ohio, is soliciting a requirement for grounds maintenance services at the RFC, Wilmington WFO Ohio. Award of a firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The purchase order of the service agreement will be a Total Small Business Set Aside in accordance with FAR 6.202(a)(3). The associated NAICS code is 561730. The small size standard is $7 million. The Federal Supply Class is S208. The total period of performance for all work specified in the Statement of Work is April 1, 2014 through October 31, 2014 each year (to include four option years). This contract may be established to satisfy the requirement on a temporary basis until the required services can be added to the AbilityOne Procurement List. If these services are added to the Procurement List, then the option years will be awarded directly to an AbilityOne contractor in accordance with 14 U.S.C 46-48c. Solicitation number EA-133W-14-RQ-0171 will be issued February 13, 2014 via FedBizOpps at www.FBO.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will also be provided on the Internet using the same protocol listed above. The solicitation will close February 28, 2014. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only past experience and price, and price related factors specified in the solicitation. Site visits shall be arranged with Debbie Duquette during the dates of February 1-21, 2014. All responsible sources may submit a quote that shall be considered by the agency. Quotes are to remain effective for 30 days after close of solicitation. To be eligible for award, vendors must obtain a DUNS number (this may be done by calling 1-800-333-0505) and be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM): www.sam.gov. The anticipated award date is on or about March 5, 2014. Contractors are encouraged to register with FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service.
