Description
1. The Governments intends to issue a solicitation FA9550-13-R-0002 on or about 1 Mar 2014 for the Air Force Summer Faculty Fellowship Program (SFFP) with an anticipated performance period from 1 Jul 2014 through 30 Jun 2019. The government is seeking a qualified contractor to manage the SFFP to include advertising and promotion, recruitment of up to 125 faculty and 50 students annually with specializations in Science, Mathematics, and Air Force relevant Engineering disciplines to perform research at Air Force Research Laboratories (AFRL), the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), and Air Force Test and Evaluation (AFT&E) Centers to perform mentor-based research in areas of interest to the Air Force at Air Force research facilities 2. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The Government intends to compete and award the entire Air Force SFFP by 1 Jun 14 with a 30-day transition period, if required, and a contract start date of 1 Jul 14. The total potential period of performance will be 5 years. The contract will be awarded as Firm Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursement. Options will be priced on the same basis as the basic CLINs and evaluated for award purposes as a part of the offeror's proposal in accordance with FAR 52.217-5. 3. A formal solicitation will be posted on or about 1 Mar 14 to the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site (http://www.fbo.gov) for potential sources to manage the SFFP. The government is seeking a qualified contractor to manage the SFFP with up to 125 faculty members and fifty (50) students participating in the program. 4..
