- FERC-14-X-0020 REQUEST FOR INFORMATION-SecShred 02.docx REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ("RFI") The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Request for Information Document Destruction System This RFI is issued under the guidance and provisions of FAR 15.201(e). This is not a request for proposals. Responses to this RFI shall not be accepted by the Government to form any binding contracts. There is no immediate intention by FERC to solicit or award a contract for the services described below. Background: The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has offices nationwide that purge a substantial amount of sensitive and non-public information per month through shredding services. The sensitive materials from the Headquarters office are collected through burn bags and then shredded onsite. Five of the regional offices (New York, Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco, and Portland) collect and shred their sensitive materials on-site, the remnants of which are then picked up by a vendor. FERC seeks information to improve and possibly standardize its collection and document destruction system. Information Requested: oProvide product and service specifications along with any published price list. Relevant marketing brochures, catalogs, links to websites. oIdentify geographic service areas. oManagement philosophy and customer interaction methods. oContractor's process flow from beginning to end including occasional off schedule purge sessions. oProvide on and or offsite shred cut dimensions. oList documentation provided to the customer upon service completion. oList of environmental policies and regulations contractor complies with. oA description of personnel security standards employed. oA description of insurance coverage maintained. oAre services available under an FSS GSA Schedule contract?
