Description

U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with General Mirco Systems (GMS) Inc. P.O. Box 3689 Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730 to retrofit four GMS computers part number 97-2271-000 with more rugged SMPTE-292 High Definition connrctors and to modify the four companion cooling trays that were fabricated to match this computer. The proposed action is for a firm fixed price commodity for which the Government does not own technical data specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel they can provide this commodity or equal or service are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The requirement will be released a commercial requirement under FAR Part 12.
