- Component List This is a sources sought synopsis only. It is not a solicitation announcement or request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of any potential qualified sources and their size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), Small, Small Disadvantaged, Large, etc.). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336413 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,000 employees. The United States Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center is seeking certified sources of dynamic components for the Coast Guard's MH-60T aircraft fleet. Manufacturers of the dynamic components must be certified by Naval Supply Weapons Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS), Philadelphia, PA. The list of components is provided as a separate document. The following statements apply to all components. The part requires source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain quality of the part. Existing design capability, engineering skills and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) requires acquisition from approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge or technical data that's not economically available to the government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintain quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant government engineering activity. Qualification procedures must be approved by the government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in intended application. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, telephone number, point of contact (POC), business size, and any information which will allow the USCG to understand your full capabilities. Any source certified by NAVSUP WSS should provide proof of certification. After the review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, a solicitation will be published at www.fbo.gov if the Government intends to proceed with the acquisition. A response to this sources sought announcement is not considered to be an adequate response to any future request for proposal solicitation. All interested parties will have to respond to a request for proposal in addition to responding to this sources sought synopsis. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Again, this is not a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Responses to this sources sought notice along with any capability statements, company literature, brochures shall be emailed to the Contract Specialist, or mailed to Commanding Officer, Aviation Logistics Center, MRR Product Line Division, Bldg 79, Elizabeth City, NC 27909, ATTN: Contracting Officer. Responses must be received no later than 21 February 2014 at 3:00 p.m. EST. This notice is to help the USCG in determining potential sources only. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. All interested parties must respond to a separate solicitation announcement. In addition, responses to this sources sought synopsis are NOT a request to be added to a prospective offers list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests shall not be reimbursed by the Government. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities site for additional information pertaining to this sources sought announcement.
