Description

NOAA for National Ocean Service (NOS), Cooperative Oxford Lab (COL), located at 904 S. Morris St., Oxford, MD has a requirement to repair and replace the Asphalt Roofing System at the NOAA Cooperative Lab. This project is funded with Disaster Relief Act Funds. NOAA's National Ocean Service, Center for Coastal Environmental Health and Biomolecular Research, at the COL, located at 904 South Morris Street, Oxford, Maryland is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the following work and services: Main Laboratory Building and the Educational Building : The roof replacements on these building will require the following: (1) Total removal of the shingles, underlayment and flashing so as to fully expose the existing wood roof deck to be worked on; (2) Repairs to and/or replacement of deteriorated roof decking; (3) Replacement of damaged and deficient flashings; i.e., wall and valley flashings; (4) Replacement of all associated roof flashings, including those located at roof curbs, masonry walls, chimney, plumbing vents, etc.; (5) Removal of existing roofing materials, site cleanup and hauling away, including all dump fees and (6) Removal and replacement of deteriorated sections of gutters and downspouts, including replacement of missing components. HOW TO OBTAIN A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: Solicitation No. WC1330-14-RQ-0148 for the above requirements will be posted on FedBizOpps (FBO) (www.fbo.gov). Hard copies will not be available. The solicitation will be made available for download on or about February 20, 2014. For a copy of the solicitation, please utilize the FBO feature "register to receive notification" as well as "register as an interested vendor". Upon release of the solicitation to the FBO for download, vendors who have registered to receive notification should receive an email from the FBO indicating its availability. Each potential vendor is responsible for checking this website often to obtain all current information associated with this procurement. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the agency. The resultant procurement will be a firm-fixed price contract. This will be 100% small business set-aside. The magnitude of the construction project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Completion time for this project is 60 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Eastern Acquisition Division, requires that all Contractors doing business with this office be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made to a company not registered in SAM. For additional information to register in SAM, please access the following web site: http://www.sam.gov.
