Description

The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses stating their capability received before 4PM on Thursday February 13 2014 EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Ingersoll Machine Tools is the Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and will be replacing the draw bar on one of the machines located at the Naval Foundry and Propeller Center. Ingersoll owns the proprietary rights and specifications of the SU - 12 profiling machine and that makes it impossible for other contractors to replace the draw bar. All responses may be emailed to Stephen Ngotho at stephen.ngotho@navy.mil and reference number N0018914T0426 no later than 4PM on Thursday February 13 2014 EST.
