- This is not a request for proposals. This Sources Sought Notice is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. Potential vendors are encouraged to notify the contracting office of their capabilities. The response must include a brief statement to attest to the vendor's qualifications and experience in the overhaul of the aforementioned Spindle Assemblies. After review of the responses to this announcement, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in FBO. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are not an adequate response to any future solicitation announcement. Again, this is not a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 21 February 2014, 3:00 p.m. EST. This notice is to help the United States Coast Guard find alternate sources of supply. All vendors responding to this notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. All interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are NOT a request to be added to a prospective offerors list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. The Coast Guard is publishing this opportunity for the development of a source list and will consider all responsive, responsible vendors. Responses must be received at the following address no later than 21 February 2014, 3:00 p.m. EST: Contracting Officer MRR Product Line Division USCG Aviation Logistics Center Elizabeth City, NC 27909-5001 Advance copies may be sent by e-mail to Brandy.L.Gordon@uscg.mil. The subject line must include Overhaul of Spindle Assemblies. All correspondence must include a company point of contact with address, phone number and email address. Additional Requirement Details The various Spindle Assemblies, aforementioned, shall be overhauled in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. The various Spindle Assemblies, aforementioned, shall be overhauled in accordance with the Naval Air Systems Command Technical Manual, A1-861QA-MDB-000; latest revision shall apply. The vendor shall be ISO9001:2000 + AS9100B and ISO 9001/14001 Certified. In accordance with Public Law 108-136, Section 802, NAVSUP WSS has the sole responsibility of certifying supply sources for components commonly used by both the Navy and the Coast Guard. Information regarding NAVSUP WSS certification may be obtained on the Navy website; https://www.navsup.navy.mil/navsup/ourteam/navsupwss/business_opps. All vendors responding to this notice shall provide written proof with its response that it has in its possession or the ability to obtain the OEM specifications and aforementioned Naval Air Systems Command Technical Manual. All vendors responding to this notice shall submit copies of the aforementioned certifications with its response.
