- This is not a request for proposals. This Sources Sought Notice is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. NOMENCLATURE PART NUMBER NATIONAL STOCK NUMBER Aircraft Power Unit (APU) 3800480-2 2835-01-373-4275 This Sources Sought Notice has been issued to provide potential vendors an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed requirement. Potential vendors are encouraged to notify the contracting office of their capabilities. The response must include a brief statement to attest to the vendor's qualifications and experience in the overhaul of the aforementioned APU. After review of the responses to this announcement, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in FBO. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are not an adequate response to any future solicitation announcement. Again, this is not a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 21 February 2014, 3:00 p.m. EST. This notice is to help the United States Coast Guard find alternate sources of supply. All vendors responding to this notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. All interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are NOT a request to be added to a prospective offerors list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. The Coast Guard is publishing this opportunity for the development of a source list and will consider all responsive, responsible vendors. Responses must be received at the following address no later than 21 February 2014, 3:00 p.m. EST: Contracting Officer MRR Product Line Division USCG Aviation Logistics Center Elizabeth City, NC 27909-5001 Advance copies may be sent by e-mail to Brandy.L.Gordon@uscg.mil. The subject line must include Overhaul of Aircraft Power Unit (APU). All correspondence must include a company point of contact with address, phone number and email address. Additional Requirement Details The APU, P/N 3800480-2, shall be overhauled in accordance with the US Army Aviation and Missile Command Depot Maintenance Work Requirement for Gas Turbine Engine Assembly (DMWR 1-2835-214) dated January 31, 2013; latest revision shall apply. All vendors responding to this notice shall provide written proof with its response that it physically has in its possession or the ability to obtain the aforementioned DMWR. Services shall be performed only by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) approved or Coast Guard approved vendors. The vendor's FAA certification must reflect authorization to overhaul the exact category for the component aforementioned. All vendors responding to this notice shall submit copies of certifications with its response. Vendors shall be ISO 9001/14001 Certified. All vendors responding to this notice shall provide a copy of its ISO certificate with its response.
