- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS NORFOLK DISTRICT, REAL ESTATE OFFICE ATTN: CENAO-RE-A 803 FRONT STREET NORFOLK, VIRGINIA 23510-1096 U.S. GOVERNMENT SEEKING TO LEASE SPACE LEASE PROPERTY IS REQUIRED IN CITY OF CHESAPEAKE, FRANKLIN, HAMPTON, NEWPORT NEWS, NORFOLK, PORTSMOUTH, SUFFOLK, OR VIRGINIA BEACH, VA UNDER INVITATION NO. RE-DACA65-B-14-10 The Norfolk District is seeking Building and Parking space offerings for the following space types and quantity: ITEM TYPE SPACE REQUIRED QUANTITY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS 1. ADMIN /TRNG OPENBAY 17500 SF NONE 2. MAINTENACE AREA 6780 SF GROUND ENTRANCE LARGE ENOUGH FOR VEHICLES 3. STORAGE 913 SF HVAC NOT REQUIRED 4. VEH/EQUIP PARKING 34965 SF ENCLOSED FENCE/SECURE 5. PRIVATE VEH PARKING 30600 SF NONE TOTAL BUILDING SPACE REQUIRED: 25,000 NET SF (APPROXIMATE) TOTAL PARKING SPACE REQUIRED: 65,565 NET SF (7,285 NET SQ YARDS, APPROXIMATE) The space types must be contiguous and collocated at a single site. Bldg space must be one-story ground level structure with central heat & cooling in a low traffic area, fully serviced, easy access, good visibility. The lease term is 3-years with the government reserving the right to cancel by giving 60 days notice after the first year. Persons or businesses may submit offers of available space on the 'AVAILABLE LEASE SPACE INFORMATION FORM' attached to this notice as ATTACHMENT 'A'. Selection factors will be based on, but not limited to: (1) Cost; (2) Space Condition; (3) Availability of secure and non-secure parking; (4) Location; (5) Access; (6) Security; (7) Level of maintenance and services provided. Proposals will be accepted until 2:00 p.m, February 27, 2014, and should be submitted to: U.S. Army Engineer District, Norfolk, Real Estate Office, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1096. Offers that do not meet the minimum requirements listed above will not be considered for site visitation by the Government Selection Team. Owners or Agents of sites that meet the space requirements will be notified to schedule a site visit and walk-thru of their available space.
