Description
Attachment B - Product Data Sheet Attachment A - Site Plans Request for Quotation The Library of Congress (LOC) Facility Services (FACS) is responsible for maintaining and managing the buildings on the LOC Capitol Hill Campus which is comprised of The James Madison Memorial Building (1,900,000 SF), The John Adams Building (760,000 SF), and The Thomas Jefferson Building (660,000 SF), as well as other buildings in the metropolitan area. This work often involves construction design, and development to meet the various needs of a multitude of building occupants and visitors. The construction work is often executed by the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) to meet the requirements of FACS and this requires both entities to work in a cooperative relationship. This arrangement allows for both entities to specify and purchase specific construction design services, materials, and construction services, depending on the project scope and funding, while working together to execute each project and deliver it while meeting the specific project requirements. LOC is remodeling the James Madison Building Ground Floor Snack Bar. This area is a food preparation and service operation that serves Library staff, users, and visitors. The goal of the requirements listed in this section is to purchase for the LOC, a flooring surface for this space that will be durable, maintainable, and will harmonize with the architectural features in the space. The AOC is currently in the construction execution phase and so the installation of the flooring must be coordinated with the other work that the AOC is performing. The Library of Congress, James Madison Building Ground Floor Snack Bar (GFSB) will consist of a food preparation area for two distinct food service franchises, a serving counter where the two franchises will display and serve food and beverages, and a dining area. The net area of the GFSB where flooring is to be applied is 5125 square feet (deducting for columns, walls, and walk-in coolers). A drawing of the space is attached to the Request for Quotation as Attachment A. The scope of this contract includes the preparation of concrete substrate as needed and application of a BASF SRS Degaclad CF Methyl Methacrylate Acrylic (MMA) Floor Coating System that fully conforms to the Product Data Sheet included as Attachment B of the Request for Quotation, over the entire area, while protecting all other finishes that have been applied, and particularly those applied to abutting surfaces.
