- Description
- The Contracting Department, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract and will utilize procedures under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures . The contractor shall provide OEM Total Care Service & Maintenance in support of Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, Camp Lejeune, NC 28542. The period of performance for the resulting contract will be for 01 March 2014 through 30 September 2015 to include two (2) additional one-year option periods. Requirement is being sole sourced because: All 9 operating rooms at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune are currently equipped with Drager anesthesia machines. The present inventory of anesthesia equipment is the most recent version of technological advances to support the highest standard of patient care. The machines operate entirely on Drager proprietary software. In order to maintain consistency with the maintenance, ensure patient safety and apply the highest standard of care, the anesthesia machines must be maintained and serviced by Drager Medical Inc. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about 4 February 2014 by downloading the documents at the NECO Website as follows: http:// www.neco.navy.mil. This requirement is a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 81129 with a size standard of $19.0 million. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
