- Draft RFI PWS RFI Purpose: The U.S. Department of Education (Department) is issuing this request for information (RFI) in an effort to conduct market research for potential sources that may have the technical capability to support the Department in providing business process analysis, SharePoint 2010 and possibly 2013 workflow/application development, maintenance support and training services in relation to leveraging the existing Enterprise Business Collaboration toolset. as set forth in the attached draft Performance Work Statements (PWS). The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541511. If there is a more appropriate NAICS code please provide that information in your response. Information Being Requested: Responses to this RFI will help shape the government's strategy for this acquisition, as well as any subsequent formalized solicitation. The information provided in response to this RFI should include the following: a)Company name b)Business size and designations c)Address d)Point of contact e)Number of employees and security clearances currently held by employees that are equal to or exceed the standards in the draft PWS. f)Gross annual receipts g)Previous contract(s) performing same or similar services as identified in this notice, to include contract type (FFP, T&M, etc.); overall contract value; Agency/Business Entity contracted with; and a brief overview of services performed, including success of developed products in accomplishing the client's objective. h)Capability statement that addresses the organizations' qualifications and ability to perform as a prime contractor for the work described in the attached PWS. i)GSA Holder? If yes, GSA Contract number. Important Note: This is a request for information (RFI) only. This RFI is issued as market research, solely for information and planning purposes. It shall not be considered as an invitation for bid (IFB), request for quotation (RFQ), request for proposal (RFP), or as an obligation on the part of the government to acquire any products or services. Any response to this RFI is purely voluntary and will be treated as information only. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The information provided may be used by the Department of Education in developing its acquisition strategy and the related statement of work, statement of objectives or performance specifications. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, RFQ or IFB, if issued RFI Submission Requirements: Proprietary information is not being solicited; however, if it is submitted, it should be appropriately marked. Please limit your formal submission to no more than 10 pages, to include cover letter and response. In addition, you may include up to two attachments that consist of briefing slides, pre-printed commercial brochures or sales literature. All items must be submitted electronically in a Microsoft office or adobe pdf format.
