- The Government intends to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) to industry for comments on its requirement for research and development services under NAICS code 541712 as it relates Sources Sought Notice for W911NF-14-R-0003 posted to www.FBO.gov on 20 Nov 2013. A DRFP is expected to be issued for this requirement on www.FBO.gov on or about 14 February 2014. Both the instructions and the DRFP will be posted to www.fbo.gov. If you wish to submit questions or comments of a sensitive nature, anonymously, a representative has been designated to be the recipient for such inquires. She is Emily Hobbs. The email is usarmy.rtp.aro.mbx.arl-um-arl4@mail.mil. In addition, the Army Research Laboratory Unique Missions Cell (ARL/UMC) and the Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Research Triangle Park Division, Unique Missions Branch (ACC-APG-RTP-UMB) will host an industry day on 11 March 2014 at the Conference Center of the Americas, 9301 NW 33 ST DORAL, FL 33172. The Industry Day will provide a valuable opportunity for industry to learn about the Army's acquisition strategy for acquiring research and development services. The chief topic being highlighted at this Industry Day will be the Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (MAC IDIQ) Contract as described in sources sought notice W911NF-14-R-0003. Questions regarding Industry Day should be submitted via e-mail titled- QUESTIONS for Industry Day-NAME OF YOUR FIRM to: usarmy.rtp.aro.mbx.arl-um-arl4@mail.mil. The due date for questions regarding the industry day is no later than 4PM on 14 February 2014. The responses to the questions specific to industry day will be posted to www.FBO.gov NLT 21 February 2014. In preparation for the conference, questions and comments on the DRFP are encouraged. However, a cut-off point for receipt of industry written questions and comments on the DRFP, is 4PM EST on 28 February 2014. Government responses to questions or comments received from industry will be released to all interested sources at the same during the Industry Day on 11 March 2014 and posted on www.FBO.gov between 12-14 March 2014. Industry Day Registration for each representative is required. Due to space limitations a maximum of two representatives from each firm will be registered. If the number of representatives outweighs capacity of the venue, the number of representatives from each firm will be reduced. When submitting the registration, please prioritize the representatives as 1st and 2nd choice. Send registration requests via e-mail titled- REGISTRATION for Industry Day-NAME OF YOUR FIRM to usarmy.rtp.aro.mbx.arl-um-arl4@mail.mil no later than 4PM EST on 28 February 2014.
