- The VA National Acquisition Center will issue RFP VA797N-13-R-0018 for the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) requirements for High Tech Medical Equipment Inspection Services. This solicitation provides for Inspection/Testing (Inspection) Services by a Qualified Radiological Physicist for the following types of equipment modalities with their estimated annual quantities including but not limited to: "Computed Tomography (CT) 10 Ea. "Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography PET/CT 10 Ea. "Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography/Computed Tomography; (SPECT/CT) 10 Ea. "Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) (various configurations) 10 Ea. "Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) 10 Ea. "Magnetic Resonance Imaging (Inside Vehicle/Trailer) (Mobile MRI) 5 Ea. Upon request for inspection services, the contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supervision and other resources to inspect High Tech Medical Equipment within consignee premises at VA. The VA shall require inspection services at facilities within the 50 states, Washington, D.C., the Philippines and Puerto Rico. The resultant contract will be used as a continuous source for the inspection services listed herein. Inspection services will be ordered on an as needed basis from time to time in such quantities as may be needed to fulfill any inspection requirement determined in accordance with currently applicable procurement procedures. VA shall issue a Task Order against the resulting contract that will detail the type of equipment to be inspected, the location where the equipment is to be inspected and the time and date the inspection is required. The inspector shall travel to the VA facility as specified by the task order utilizing Government Per Diem and Travel Rates. The Inspector shall inspect the equipment to insure that it meets the VA's General Specification and testing protocol requirements that are included in the solicitation. And, all additional manufacturer's specifications or performance guidelines identified and all applicable Local, State and Federal Government safety and performance requirements. The solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the issue date of February 21, 2014 from the Federal Governments Point of Entry (GPE) Federal Business Opportunity internet web site at http://www.FBO.gov.
