Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The NCO 12, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, 115 S. 84th Street, Suite 101, Milwaukee, WI 53214, is performing market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of qualified: (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB); (2) Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB); or (3) Small or emerging small business firms, or 4) Large business firms, to provide for the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI, the lease of two (2) Special Purpose Vehicles, as described in the summarized Statement of Work (SOW). Summarized Statement of Work: The Contractor shall furnish two (2) twenty-four foot diesel engine box trucks equipped with the following: -Temperature and humidity control. Both vehicles must have working temperature and humidity controls to keep freight compartment between 65 and 72 degrees temperature; and humidity between 20-60% humidity levels at all times while the vehicles is in use. -Ratcheting E-Track Equipment. Both vehicles must have ratcheting e-track equipment for securing carts to be transported. -Cargo box shall be made of nonporous material, i.e. fiberglass or stainless steel. -Required to transport approximately 7,500 pounds per truck, at one time. Both the exterior and the interior of the vehicles must be free of excessive soil, rust, and damage. Each vehicle must meet all host nation safety requirements and have, as a minimum, the following safety features: seatbelts, rear view mirrors, windshield wipers, parking brake, and horn. This requirement will be awarded on a lowest-price technically acceptable basis. Tentative period of performance is October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015, plus three 1-year option periods, to be exercised at the Governments discretion. All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated above should respond, in writing, with: 1.Company name. 2.Address. 3.Point of contact (name/telephone number/e-mail address). 4.DUNS number. 5.Tax ID number. 6.Indication of which business category (SDVOSB, VOSB, Small Business or Large Business) for which the organization qualifies. 7.A capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the requirement depicted in the SOW. Submit responses to the Contract Specialist, Thomas Chesak, at thomas.chesak@va.gov no later than 11:00 a.m. (Central Standard Time), 6 February 2014. Special Purpose Vehicles Lease should be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement. TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The NAICS Code 532120, Truck, Utility Trailer, and RV (Recreational Vehicle) Rental and Leasing, is applicable to this acquisition; the size standard is $35.5 M. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the Systems for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. The Government will use responses to this notice to make an appropriate acquisition decision. This is the only notice, no other copies of this notice will be provided.
