Description
THIS IS A SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY Prevailing wage rates are required. ResCare, Inc., contracting for the U.S. Department of Labor, for the operation of Edison Job Corps Center, is currently soliciting written proposals for the subcontracted operation of the EMT Program for Edison Job Corps Center. Edison Job Corps Center, located at 500 Plainfield Avenue, Edison, New Jersey 08817 is requesting bids to provide EMT Training as outlined for the period June 2014 thru December 2014 with 1 option year. Job Corps, a federal program administered by U.S. Department of Labor provides Academic and Vocational Training to economically disadvantaged youth between the ages of 16 to 24. Scope of Work Subcontractor will provide and supervise the staff positions The Center Director shall have the right to request removal and replacement of an employee assigned by Subcontractor as set forth herein for reason or cause. Subcontractor agrees to comply with any such request which seems reasonable and the employee will be replaced within a reasonable time at no cost to the Center. "Employee(s)" for the purpose of this article shall mean and include Subcontractor's professional and nonprofessional employees. It is specifically understood and agreed that employees assigned to the performance of work heretofore stated shall conform to the rules, standards, policies and procedures established by the Center Director, the professional groups to which they belong, and the Job Corps Program. In Center operational matters, Subcontractor staff shall be responsible to and take direction from the Center Director. Subcontractor's staff shall have no approval authority for Center transactions unless that authority is specifically delegated in writing by ResCare and agreed to by Subcontractor. Supplies and services required by the subcontractor shall be obtained thru the Center's requisitioning/purchasing system and in accordance with budget limitations. Any equipment provided to the Subcontractor under this agreement is owned by the U.S. Department of Labor and is in the custody of ResCare. Subcontractor agrees to sign a receipt for all equipment issued if any to operate its program. Subcontractor agrees to assume responsibility or the care and security of the equipment issued to it under this agreement. In the event equipment is lost, damaged or destroyed, subcontractor will immediately notify the Center Director. If ResCare finds subcontractor negligent for the loss and/or destruction of the government property, and ResCare is not relieved of accountability from a Broad Survey, Subcontractor is liable for any loss of or damage to government property and any expenses incidental thereto. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Certification CEVO for the Emergency Driver Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support Certification Criminal Background Check Certified First Responder Certification (optional) Required Clinical Emergency Room Rotations NIMS 700 Certification ICS 100 Certification NJ State Certification Exam National Registry Certification Exam Health Screening Student Interview/Qualifications Student Application Packet Must be an approved NJ Department of Health/Senior Services Training Center Must be able to provide 250 hours or the national curriculum standards National standards EMT Textbook for students Required training equipment as per the state/national program Facility for EMT Basic Skill Practice and written exam testing Our center will also provide additional training to ensure compliance with the National EMT Curriculum through our center instructor.
