Description
In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, the Government intends to issue a solicitation restricted to TEREX CORPORATION, CAGE 4J2G1, 150 RIVERSIDE PKWY SUITE 203, FREDERICKSBURG, VA 22406-1094, for the extension of Military All-terrain Crane (MAC-50) Crane Field Service Representatives (FSRs). In order to maximize subcontracting opportunities to the maximum practical extent and consistent with the objectives and requirements of the contract in accordance with FAR 5.201, competitive opportunities for subcontracting to Terex Corporation may be available. The proposed action is to award a firm-fixed price (FFP) contract to procure up to 2,920 man-days of FSR services for the period of performance extending from April 2014 through June 2016 on the existing 50-ton MAC-50 base requirements contract. The 2,920 man-days include 1,460 man-days beginning in FY14, with an option for up to an additional 1,460 man-days beginning in FY15. This effort supports 18 U.S. Army MAC-50s and extends four FSRs to continue providing services for Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), troubleshooting, diagnosing, operating, maintaining, and repairing non-mission capable (NMC) MAC-50s. This unique sourcing solution of procuring the required Out of Continental United States (OCONUS) FSR support services is an integral part of maintaining and sustaining the mission capability of these critical assets within the areas of responsibilities (AOR) including Kuwait and Afghanistan. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be forwarded to Terex Corporation for subcontracting opportunities. The point of contact for this action is CARLO A. DALEO, CONTRACT SPECIALIST, carlo.a.daleo.civ@mail.mil or (586) 282-3576. PLEASE CONTACT VIA EMAIL FIRST.
