Description

The Architect of the Capitol is seeking a contractor to replace controllers in various elevators in the Longworth House Office Building, Washington, D.C. under a firm, fixed-price contract. Briefly, the work involves the following work: (1) Removing six (6) elevator controllers and associated wiring, (2) Providing modern, computerized elevator controllers capable of communication with the elevator monitoring system and automatic fire recall, and (3) Replacing all wiring associated with the relocation of group controllers to include but not limited to the travel cable, between controllers and group controllers and associated disconnects. The contractor shall perform the work in this contract in accordance with industry standards and the requirements stated within the contract. Work on the elevators is restricted to the periods during the Congressional recess in August and December 2014. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on or about February 13, 2014. The due date for receipt of proposals will be on or about March 27, 2014. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MONITOR THE FEDBIZOPS WEBSITE FOR ALL CHANGES!! Date and time for a site visit will be determined later.
