TITLE: 65-- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE SOL: VA24414Q0360 DUE: 02/06/2014 SET ASIDE: N/A NAICS: 423430 POP STATE: Not specified AGENCY: Department of Veterans Affairs; VA New York Harbor Healthcare System- St Albans Campus POC: Aleta Jennette mailto:Aleta.Jennette@va.gov DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO I C S, for Equipment Maintenance of Software to Laundry Machine Market research was conducted and determined that I C S is the only vendor capable of providing items that meet the requirements. Vendor shall be engaged in maintenance training as well as servicing laundry computer software, meeting the manufacturer specifications to maintain it in first class operating condition. SERVICE TO BE PROVIDED: 1. Monthly Service To Include: Three (3)days on site consisting of the last day and first two (2) days of each month, cost analysis reports, database back network maintenance and system troubleshooting as needed. 2. TERMS:Contractor shall provide services to VA pursuant to this agreement for a term commencing from October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014, plus four(4) option years as stated in pages herein. 3. PLACE OF WORK: Contractor shall render services primarily at contractor's offices, but will, upon request provide the service at VA Office of such other places as reasonable requested by VA as appropriate for the performance of particular services. 4. TIME:Contractor's daily schedule and hours worked under this agreement on a given day, shall generally be subject to contractor and VA anticipate that contractor shall work on average 24 hours in the performance of service pursuant to this agreement. VA relies upon contractor to devote sufficient time as is reasonably necessary to fulfill the spirit and purpose of all service performed pursuant to this agreement. Payment shall be made in monthly installments. Contract shall bear all of contractor's expenses incurred in the performance of this agreement. 5. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR: Contractor is and throughout this agreement shall be an independent contractor and not an employee,partner or agent of VA. 6 TOOLS AND SUPPLIES: Contractor shall be solely responsible for procuring, paying for and maintaining any computer equipment,software, paper, tools, or supplies necessary or appropriate for the performance of contract services here under. 7. FINAL AGREEMENT: This agreement constitutes the final understanding and agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior negotiation, understanding and agreement between the parties whether written or oral. 14. NOTICES:Any notice required to be give of otherwise given pursuant to this agreement shall be in writing and shall be hand delivered, mailed by certified mail, return receipt requested or sent by recognized overnight courier service as follows: This Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The government may consider all Expressions of Interest received prior to February 06 2014. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must be emailed to Aleta.Jennette@va.gov and received by 10:00AM EST on February 6, 2014. Submitters are responsible for ensuring their EOI reaches the designated contracting officer on-time.
