Description
SCOPE The F-16 System Program Office (SPO) at Hill AFB will be hosting an Industry Day to discuss the United States Air Force requirement for a Missile Warning System (MWS) for the F-16 fighter aircraft. The F-16 SPO is interested in meeting with industry representatives to answer questions and receive feedback regarding this requirement to assist with acquisition planning and program strategy. The industry day group meeting will be held in the Main Conference Room of Building 1234 at Hill AFB, UT. This meeting will take place on Tuesday 25 February 2014, and it is anticipated to start at 0730am and last the entire business day. However, the actual schedule will depend on the industry's level of interest in the event and will be finalized after all RSVPs have been received. One-on-one meetings will also be scheduled. BACKGROUND The US Air National Guard (ANG) and Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) have a requirement for an off-the-shelf, proven F-16 MWS for their F-16 aircraft. The F-16 SPO, Hill AFB, UT intends to award a contract to manufacture MWS for installation into PIDS+ (Pylon Integrated Dispenser System Plus) pylons for integration with combat coded F-16 aircraft. MWS is required to improve survivability against man portable surface-to-air missiles (MANPADS). PIDSU (Pylon Integrated Dispenser System Universal) is a suspension rack currently flying on F-16C/D Blocks 25/30/32 aircraft. ANG/AFRC currently own 310 PIDSU pylons, and anticipates modifying some to a PIDS+ configuration. INDUSTRY DAY 1. The government has limited the number of attendees from each company (including partnerships with intent to combine on a contract bid) to a maximum of FOUR (4). 2. The purpose of this conference is to provide open dialogue between government and industry. In order for this to be an effective exchange, the government requests a list of agenda topics and specific questions that industry would like the Government to address. Please submit your agenda topic recommendations and specific questions to the industry day POC not later than 6 February 2014. Early submissions are encouraged. 3. In order to attend Industry Day, each contractor must provide the following for each attendee: a. Name, address and CAGE code of firm b. Indicate status of company - Small Business (and type of Small Business) or Large Business c. Full Name, citizenship status and contact information for each individual attendee This information must be received by the Industry Day POC via email not later than 6 February 2014. 4. The government is willing to have separate meetings with interested contractors apart from the general meeting. If any individual contractor wishes to have a one-on-one session with government personnel, requests should be made by 6 February 2014. 5. A Base Access Letter will be coordinated in advance once your RSVP has been received. If you require any assistance obtaining base access or directions to the conference room location (Building 1234, Hill AFB, UT), please advise the Industry Day POC. 6. This Industry Day is a follow-up activity to these two requests for information: https://www.fbo.gov/spg/USAF/AFMC/OOALC/FA8232-14-R-PIDS/listing.html https://www.fbo.gov/spg/USAF/AFMC/OOALC/FA8232-14-R-MWS/listing.html 7.
