Description

The Network Contracting Office 6 - SAO East is conducting market research and is seeking information regarding vendors who are capable of performing "dock to dock" medical waste disposal services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Beckley located in Beckley, WV. Medical waste includes but is not limited the following: cultures and stock of infectious agents, pathological waste, human blood and blood products, sharps (to include unused sharps) and isolation wastes. Estimated poundage of medical waste to be disposed of ranges from 100 to 500 pounds per month. The Network Contracting Office 6 - SAO East is requesting interested vendors to submit the following information: "Socio-economic status "Brief capability statement "Past performance information to include current and previous contracts "Demonstration of applicable licenses or the ability to obtain a license necessary for the performance of work in West Virginia "Industry standards for pricing. Does the industry currently price per pound versus a monthly flat rate and is pricing tiered based on the amount of pounds disposed? Interested vendors shall submit their information by 29 January 2014 to Ashley Seffernick at ashley.seffernick@va.gov.
