- DTFANM-14-R-00059 Market Survey for Navigational Aid (NAVAIDS) work to be performed at the Newport, Oregon municipal airport. The purpose of this survey is to determine interest, and the appropriate business set-aside category for this project. ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 31, 2014, interested vendors must complete the attached BUSINESS DECLARATION, noting business size in relation to NAICS CODE 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. Send Business Declaration to: GINA.STORLIE@FAA.GOV. Interested vendors should also have at least 5 years of experience in the above referenced field. Once the Contracting Officer identifies the appropriate set-aside, the full solicitation package will be published on this website. The proposed work for this project includes the following: This project involves work at Newport Municipal Airport and is necessitated by the AlP project to narrow the 16/34 Runway and grade the RSA. At Runway 16: 1. MALSR threshold bar will be reconstructed. 2. Old VASI units and concrete pads will be removed, as well as related equipment inside the Electrical Building. 3. Electrical equipment, including transformer, SPD and disconnect switch, will be replaced or added. 4. New PAP I will be installed on left on approach and its PCA placed into existing GS shelter. 5. An old transformer by the GS shelter will be upgraded and power line from it to the electrical building to the GS replaced. 6. A new power rack to house transformer mention above, as well as other related equipment, will be installed by the GS Shelter. At Runway 34: 1. PAPI LHAs will be relocated and reconnected to existing PCA. 2. REIL IUAs will be relocated and reconnected to existing PiC Cabinet in localizer shelter; power and control conductors for IUA #1 will be replaced.
