Description

Remove and Replace Old & Aged Roof. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment and transportation necessary to complete the Removal and replacement of the old & aged roof due to storm damage at the Nebraska Western Iowa-Health Care System VA Medical Center located at 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska. Work includes, but is not limited to general construction, alterations, electrical, necessary demolition, tie-ins, restoration and certain other items necessary for the completion of this project. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings of the solicitation (when available) and all applicable local and VA codes. The contractor will remove and replace with a new Firestone 60 Mil, fully adhered rubber guard membrane roof system. Tear off old roof down to the roof deck and install 2 layers of 1 1/2 " of Polyisocyanurate insulation (R-18.0) Attach insulation to the roof deck with Firestone approved fasteners at the rate of one fastener for every two square feet. Solicitation Number VA263-13-Q-3727 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about February 10, 2014. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit will be held. (See solicitation when available for point of contact information to arrange a site visit, if desired). Quotations are tentatively scheduled to be due on Wednesday, February 27, 2014 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date). The Period of Performance is expected to be 30 calendar days from the receipt of notice to proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is less than $25,000.00.
