- Description
- The USDA Forest Service Region 6 anticipates soliciting for 4 Exclusive Use Type III Helicopter services. Vendors shall be required to fully operate the aircraft, supply qualified personnel, and equip the aircraft to meet specifications for use in administration and protection of Public Lands. The helicopters furnished will be used for fire initial attack and support missions and for other administrative flights as assigned. The awarded contracts for all four will be for 1 base year plus 3 renewable option years. Awards are expected to be made in April 2014 with performance commencing in June/July 2014. Dates will be specified in the solicitation. The host bases will include: 2 in Wenatchee, WA; 1 in Prineville, OR; 1 in John Day, OR. The RFP and associated documents will be posted to this site around February 3, 2014.
