Description
Signed Sources Sought Notice This Notice is market research only. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice. No solicitation or specifications are available at this time. The General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking firms that qualify under the U.S. Small Business Programs cited in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19, including small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, women-owned small businesses, and 8(a) firms. The General Services Administration (GSA), New England Region, Boston Service Center Branch, is conducting market research to determine if any Small Business sources have the current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, and capability to perform the work described herein. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238210 with a Small Business Size Standard of $14 million. The estimated price range will be between $100,000 and $250,000. The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, Service Centers Division requires a contractor to provide all Management, Supervision, Labor, Materials, Tools, and Equipment necessary for the Demolition of the existing Horizontal and Vertical Communication Cable and System Components and the Installation of Category 6 Horizontal Communication Cable, fiber optic cables and System Components in US Department of Housing and Urban Development spaces of the O'Neill Federal Building. The purpose of this project is to upgrade the US Department of Housing and Urban Development's office space with Networks to Category 6 Cabling and Equipment. The project location is the T. P. O'Neill Federal Office Building in Boston, MA. Contractor shall be responsible for complete installation of all new tele/data outlets/cable trays and patch panels and demolition of existing cables and testing of all new cables. Each structured cabling system installer shall currently be a manufacturer's certified system installer in good standing with five years minimum experience on projects similar in scope. Contractor and installation crew shall be licensed as required, by the latest edition of the Massachusetts Electrical Code. Contractor shall have, at a minimum, one staffed office within 60 miles of the project site or a plan detailing how the contractor would be able to meet the required response time to ensure efficient repairs for any warranty work and scheduling Statements of Capability must be in writing and are due on January 31, 2014 by 2:00pm. Responses are limited to 5 (five) pages. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested concern. The package shall address, at a minimum, the following: 1. Please provide a detailed narrative demonstrating your experience in the type of services sought by this Notice. Information shall include at least five (5) "similar" contracts substantially completed within the past two (2) years. A similar contract is defined as one that is comparable in magnitude, scope, complexity and duration to the requirements as defined by this Notice. 2. For each of the five (5) contracts identified above, please provide any Past Performance Evaluations completed through the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS) or a similar Government evaluation system. If no formalized evaluation exists for a particular contract, please provide an "Owner" point of contact to include name, title, telephone number and email address. 3. All potential contractors must have, at a minimum, one staffed office within 60 miles radius of the T. P. O'Neill Federal Office Building in Boston, MA or a plan detailing how the contractor would be able to meet the required response time to ensure efficient repairs for any warranty work and scheduling. 4. Please provide a letter from your Bonding Company identifying your firm's aggregate bonding capacity in providing Bid, Performance and Payments bonds. AGAIN, THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.
