Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits Administration, Office of Acquisition, Buffalo New York has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, license and qualified supervision to replace the diffusers and then rebalance the entire heating system for the Veterans Benefits Togus Regional Office located at building 248, Togus Medical Center at 1 VA Center, Augusta, ME 04330. All work performed must meet all applicable codes and regulations and be in strict accordance with the contract drawing and specifications. Contractors required providing maximum provisions to minimize work disruption. Contractors will be required to provide two possible scenarios and costs for implementation of this project. One for all the work to be conducted during normal business hours and two alternate proposals for all the work done after business hours. All work will be coordinated with the Medical Center's engineering team. The period of performance is 45 days for the entire project. Estimated construction cost is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-aside. Bidding material/drawings will be available on or about January 27, 2014. The specifications, drawings and amendments/notices, if any, will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due 10 days after the date and time set for pre-bid site visit. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation because of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. All interested vendors should register on this website. It is the offerors responsibility to check the web site periodically for any amendments/notices to the solicitation. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) order to obtain access in FedBizOpps. Contractors must also be 'Verified" as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business at VETBIZ.gov. SAM registration must be current and active to be eligible for contract award.
