- The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Division intends to negotiate a firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract, sole source manufacturer with Ingersoll-Rand Company, in which this equipment will be used at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 333991, Power-Driven Handtool Manufacturing. This will be an unrestricted requirement. The contract line item (CLIN) is as follows: CLIN 0001: 5'' TURBO GRINDER (25 EA) ORDERING DATA: A. 3.0 RATED HP B. 12,000 FREE SPEED RPM C. 5'' WHEEL SIZE, 1/4'' MAXIMUM WHEEL THICKNESS D. TYPE 27 OR TYPE 1 WHEEL E. 5/8-11 SPINDLE/ARBOR THREAD F. 27 CFM AIR CONSUMPTION AT FREE SPEED G. 1/2'' AIR INLET H. TOOL WEIGHT 4.6 LBS I. INGERSOLL-RAND PART # VT22-120P105 This procurement will be processed in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The solicitation number is SPMYM1-14-Q-0030, and it is expected to be posted on 17 January 2014 on FedBizOpps, https://www.fbo.gov/. Quotes will be due by 2:00 PM EST on 24 January 2014 and may be e-mailed to the attention of Elizabeth Crocker at elizabeth.crocker@dla.mil.
