Description

Additional time is required to address industry comments and refine the acquisition strategy accordingly to address the intermediate and long term needs for the DoD's Financial Statement Audits", and so the Industry day scheduled for 24 January 2014 has been deferred. At this time there is insufficient new information to justify Industry representatives' time commitment to the event. DoD Management appreciates the feedback provided in response to our earlier queries. We want to assure all interested parties that we are very serious about moving the Department into broad audits beginning in FY 2015. Contractual audit support for the near term will likely be acquired through a competitive process using a statement of work that is similar in approach to that used for the recent USMC audit. Additional information to include an RFP should appear in the March/April timeframe. Intermediate and Long term needs are being further defined, with subsequent actions being informed by information included in the feedback that you have already provided. Thank you in advance for your time and input provided to date.
