- Notice of Intent Notice of Intent to Sole Source The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) hereby issue this notice of intent to sole source. The FDA intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to AB Sciex, LLC at 110 Marsh Drive, Foster City, CA 94404 for the maintenance agreement for AB Sciex's QTrap 5500 LC/MS/MS (Serial# AU22071009) currently utilized by the FDA's Northeast Regional Laboratory located at 158-15 Liberty Avenue, Jamaica, NY 11433. FDA believes that AB Sciex is the only contractor that can meet this requirement. The AB Sciex's QTrap 5500 LC/MS/MS is used for critical regulatory analyses. AB Sciex does not authorize any third party service provider to perform service on AB Sciex's products. Therefore, ONLY AB Sciex is able to provide the maintenance service on AB Sciex's equipment. The NAICS code is 334516 [Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing]. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However sources may submit descriptive literature, fully documenting their capability to perform the services stated above within the timeframes needed which will be considered by the agency. It is anticipated that an award will be issued to AB Sciex, within approximately ten (10) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that any other organization has the capacity to meet this requirement. All responses shall be received no later than 5:00 pm ET on 27 January 2014 to the attention of Shaukat Mirza via email at shaukat.Mirza@fda.hhs.gov.
