Description

Norfolk Ship Support Activity intends to execute an order under basic ordering agreement N00024-14-G-4300 to provide engineering support to Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) to assist with the interpretation of Electric Boat Corporation (EBC) drawings developed to accomplish conversion of the USS LA JOLLA (SSN701) to S6G Moored Training Ship (MTS701). These personnel will assist with the preparation of Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) based job summaries and technical work documents. Work will be performed at NNSY. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, EBC, a General Dynamics Company, located at 75 Eastern Point Road, Groton, CT 06340-4905. As the NAVSEA-assigned Design Yard, EBC has unique knowledge of the conversion process, which cannot be duplicated by any other entity. This order will be issued pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for proposals.
