- This is a total small business set-a-aside. The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for an annual software maintenance contract for the EMC Networker backup software utilized by the Bureau at its Reston Enterprise Datacenter. THE CONTRACTOR MUST BE AN AUTHORIZED / CERTIFIED EMC PROVIDER AND MUST CLEARLY ANNOTATE THIS REQUIREMENT IN THE QUOTE. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is G14PS00093 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in affect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-72, effective January 01, 2014. Please see solicitation with CLINS, technical specifications, provisions, and clauses. Quotations are due no later than 03:00pm ET on January 22, 2014. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, Firm-Fixed Price type contract on or about February 1, 2014. All firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov to be considered for award. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 511210 Maintenance and Repair ADP Equipment and Supplies and the size standard is $35.5 million.
