- Description
- Under the pending new solicitation, DLA Troop Support is proposing to combine canned and bottled beverage support with the Bag in Box (BIBs) products as part of the overall requirements for this acquisition. DLA Troop Support is looking for vendors who are interested in providing Beverage Distribution services for Military Bases and other non-military customers located in CONUS, Navy Ships, Alaska, Hawaii and Guam. This is not a solicitation just sources being sought for vendors interested in working with the DLA Troop Support in the support of supplying only beverage products including BIB syrup, bottles and cans. The beverage products would consist of Bag-in-Box, beverage base liquid carbonated, non-carbonated, electrolytes and premium teas for use in contractor furnished post-mix dispensers, as well as bottles and cans. The scope of this procurement is to supply and deliver carbonated and non-carbonated beverage requirements (BIB, bottles and cans), supply, deliver and maintain C02 dispensers and other related fountain and dispensing equipment, distribution system capability, dual pour capability, EDI capability and quality assurance to provide just in time products available for delivery to customers in the CONUS, Navy Ships, Alaska, Hawaii and Guam. We want to be able to have a beverage contract that combines both BIB syrup with the bottles and cans. Be conscious of the fact that many customers are leaning towards a healthy choice, e.g., zero calorie drinks, in lieu of the standard soda flavors, so these healthy choices must be available in your inventory. Some of our concerns need to be address when you respond to this RFI. 1. DLA Troop Support proposes to combine cans/bottles beverage requirements with the Bag in the Box (BIB) into one contract. Will this work for you? If not, why? 2. DLA Troop Support wants to assess the feasibility of regional contracts, whereby pricing for all customers within the designated region will remain the same. Vendors would be expected to ensure all customers are charged the same price for identical products within the region, regardless of supplier or bottling location plant. Comments are requested. This inquiry is open to both large business and small business. Vendors must be willing to accommodate our large customer base. If you feel your company has the capability to handle the beverage demands of our customer base, please submit your company's name, address, point of contact and email address as a source to inform you when the acquisition will be available. If interested, please email Contract Specialist, Brenda.M2.Hall@dla.mil.
