Description

This is a PRE-SOLICITATION notice to inform that the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Salem, VA has a need for a cryosurgical unit, ultrasound machine, a stepper, and disposable unit for both prostate and renal cryosurgery The contractor will only provide the technical component of the procedures; the professional components of the procedure will be performed VA staff. A Firm-Fixed Requirements type contract with a one (1) year base period of performance with the possibility of four (4) one (1) year option periods which will be exercised at the Government's discretion are anticipated under this solicitation. A formal Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and (FAR) Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items on or about January 10, 2014 via FEDBIZOPPS at www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the website for downloading the solicitation and any amendments. The expected performance period will be April 01, 2014 through March 31, 2015; with four option years (if exercised). The NACIS code is 541990. The size standard is $14 Million.
