- The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command - New Jersey - Soldier Weapons Contracting Center, in support of PM Individual Weapons, is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for the capability of manufacturing and delivery of the 40 mm M320/M320A1 Grenade Launcher (M320 GL), in accordance with the US Government (USG) M320 GL Technical Data Package (TDP). The purpose of this market research is to identify and determine sources capable of manufacturing the 40mm M320 GL in accordance with a USG M320 GL TDP. Currently the M320 TDP is not available for release. This market research is to determine if there are manufacturers capable of following a Government TDP and meeting the following minimum production requirements. For purposes of supplying the requested data in the following paragraphs, the Government anticipates a future contract to include First Article Test (FAT), and ongoing Lot Acceptance Testing (LAT). First Article Samples produced under a TDP would be required to be submitted to the Government 300 days after contract award. For supplying information in regards to production requirements, deliveries shall commence within 90 days after Government approval of FAT. Production deliveries will be a minimum of 500 M320 GLs per month. Capabilities Statement and Documentation: Firms/companies are invited to indicate their manufacturing capabilities and substantiate that they have experience and knowledge in manufacturing items of similar complexity to the M320 GL. Submissions should include direct and recent information regarding vendors in-house manufacturing, 40mm or similar barrel manufacturing, and nylon injection molding capabilities. Vendors are asked to provide information to demonstrate their past work history along with the organization's technical and business qualifications. Specifically, vendors are asked to provide their experience and ability with manufacturing to a Government provided Technical Data Packages. Submissions can be in the form of specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video and other technical data as well as identification of current customers and rough indication of pricing. Any pricing data should be sent, if available, and at no cost to the USG.
