Description: SIR/AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT MODERNIZATION (AIMM) Posted: Thursday January 2, 2014. This SIR is being posted in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management Policy, Section 3.2.1.3.11 Public Announcements. The FAA is investing in the modernization of systems throughout the National Airspace System. This will provide infrastructure improvements needed to support near-term strategic Air Traffic Control management objectives. 1.Introduction/Description This SIR is issued by the FAA Air Traffic Organization, Program Management Organization, Enterprise Services Group, for the Aeronautical Information Management Modernization (AIMM) Program. In AIMM S2 the Aeronautical Common Service (ACS) will provide users in the National Airspace System (NAS), and the general aviation community, with access to static configuration information for Airports, definitions and schedule information for Special Activity Airspace (SAA), Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), flight procedures, and supporting NAS infrastructure information. AIMM S2 will also modernize the NAS Resource (NASR) database to provide a foundation for AI improvements. Future segments will continue to improve the quantity, quality, and availability of AI, to both NAS systems as well as to AI stakeholders. The continued synthesis of AI will bring improved awareness of the state of the NAS for decision makers. At this time this acquisition includes provisions for AIMM Segment 2 (S2) with Segment 3 (S3) and Segment 4 (S4) as enhancements to occur at a later date and which will provide new functionality to further improve and expand AIM services and AIMM efforts. Only proposals addressing AIMM Segment 2 (S2) requirements are required. 2. Period of Performance The base period of performance is three (3) years with option periods totaling seven (7) years, if exercised. 3. Set-Aside/Not Set-Aside/NAICS This is not a small-business set-aside requirement. The applicable NAICS Code is 54151, Custom Computer Programming Services, Size Standard $25 million. 4. Submission Requirements: Offeror submissions must be received no later than February 18, 2014 3:00 PM EST to the email and mailing address below. The electronic submission must be in either Microsoft Word format, portable document format (PDF) and MS Excel where applicable.
