Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs - Program Contracting Activity Central intends to include a 160 Ton Absorption Chiller with Construction of a Combined Heat and Power Plant at the North Little Rock VA Medical Center (See salient characteristics below). It is believed that there is no equipment that can meet the required salient characteristics and will comply with the Buy-American Act (41 U.S.C. 10a-10d) and FAR 25.2: Buy American Act -Construction Materials. The salient characteristics are expected to be as follows: Basis of Design: Thermax LT16C *NOTE: THE BASIS OF DESIGN IS NOT INTENDED TO LIMIT SELECTION. ACTUAL EQUIPMENT SUBMITTAL FOR CONSTRUCTION WILL NEED TO BE OF SIMILAR PERFORMANCE, CAPACITY AND QUALITY. Chill Water Capacity: 160 Tons Hot Water Capacity: 2,500 MBH Dimensions (LxWxH): 185"x60"100" CHILLED WATER: "GPM: 350 "ENT TEMP: 55*F "LEAV TEMP: 44*F "PD: 7.2 PSI HOT WATER RECIRCULATION: "GPM: 540 "ENT TEMP: 195*F "LEAV TEMP: 185*F "PD: 8.1 PSI COOLING WATER: "GPM: 761 "ENT TEMP: 85*F "LEAV TEMP: 97*F "PD: 6.2 PSI If you believe you can provide an Absorption Chiller that meets the above salient characteristics, and will comply with the Buy-American Act (41 U.S.C. 10a-10d) and FAR 25.2: Buy American Act -Construction Materials; please provide at statement justifying the compliance of the Absorption Chiller, along with any "cut-sheets" and warranty information for the Absorption Chiller.
