- This solicitation is being posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/. FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. Please feel free to use the FBO site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. The Government has a requirement for a procurement of various machined products including, but not limited to milling operations, lathe operations, grinding operations, surface preparation/surface finishing, welding, weld inspection, and material inspection/certification to support the various programs under the cognizance of GXP - Strategic Systems Programs (SP22, 23, 24, 27, 2012), Missile Defense Agency, Air force and Army Space and Missile Systems. These products are required to ensure mission success in a variety of programs and projects including air and missile defense systems, command and control systems and sensor systems (list programs/projects). A solicitation will be issued pursuant to the procedures in FAR Part 15. Anticipate award of multiple Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs) that will include a five-year ordering period. Anticipate Firm Fixed Price (FFP) orders. Th e solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The requirement will be solicited using 100% small business set aside procedures. Orders will be evaluated based on technical capability, past performance and p rice. The Government anticipates the largest item required will approximately 8 feet in diameter, 40 feet long and weigh up to 100,000 lbs. There will also be smaller and general machined items required. Some items may also have welding standards. Delivery terms may be F.O.B. Destination or F.O.B. Origin. Initial Inspection and Acceptance may be Destination or Origin. The delivery and inspection and acceptance criteria will be specified in each individual DO. Delivery Orders will be competed. First Articles may be required. Final inspection and acceptance will be at destination by a team consisting of NSWC Crane technical personnel. The Contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and the Joint Certification Program (JCP). Contractors interested in responding to the solicitation may obtain information on registration in the SAM via the Internet at http://www.sam.go v. Interested contractors must be registered in the JCP in order to receive access. Information about the JCP is located at http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jc p. The documents are limited distribution (Distribution D) and will not be made available unless approval is granted. The solicitation will be available for download on or about 06 January 2014. Interested parties can download the solicitation from the website listed above; no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Closing date will be on or about 05 February 2014. When the solicitation is available, all responsible parties may submit a proposal for this procurement which will be considered by the Government. This is not a Request for Proposal.
