- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 5.201(b)(1)(ii) to CACI-ISS Inc. The Government intends to extend the period of performance on the current Army Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) contract, W91QUZ-06-D-0020-F717, for four months with an option for two one month extensions during the contract re-compete. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability with regard to this requirement no later than 9:00 AM EST, 3 January 2014. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the services required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's bona fide capability to provide these services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to sabrinna.r.cosom.civ@mail.mil.
