Description
Specific Requirements for Item This is a Sources Sought Synopsis and may or may not result in the issuance of the Request for Quotes (RFQ). A solicitation is not being issued at this time and this notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The 633d Contracting Squadron, Langley AFB, VA is seeking possible sources to provide a motorized Hot/Cold food cart with capacity to hold up to 30 trays to the 633 MDG, Langley AFB, Virginia under NAICS code: 333241. **OR EQUAL ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED**. Interested parties are requested to submit a statement of capability including; a point of contact, business status, business size and a detailed description of the product with information on how the product meets the specific requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Currently, the Nutritional Medicine Flight, USAF Hospital Langley, Joint Base Langley-Eustis prepares and serves 14,700 inpatient meals annually. A motorized food cart system has the ability to provide high quality meals to inpatients and allow Nutritional Medicine Flight to effectively utilize manpower in the kitchen/dining hall during peak meal hour times. Please see the attached Statement of Work/Need for the exact specifications of the requested food cart. The 633d Contracting Squadron intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 © as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The 633d Contracting Squadron intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price purchase order with Gill Group, INC. Any interested party that believes it can meet this requirement must give written notification to the contract specialist, Wayne E. Johnson Jr, by 12 December 2013 at 9:00 A.M. eastern standard time to wayne.johnson@langley.af.mil.
