- An assessment, assessment reporting and accreditation services in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 BASE YEAR +2 OPTION YEARS. The statement of work includes to provide: an assessment, assessment reporting and accreditation services in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005, requiring annual reviews, renewal assessments on alternating years, an interim assessment of field testing capabilities for a scope expansion. It is anticipated that all of the o -site assessments will be performed by a single assessor unless Increases are requested to the Scope of. Accreditation to an extent that would require the use of additional assessor(s). The breakdown of the assessment times are outlined in the table below. This estimate below is based on the current A2.LA fees as of the date of issue. However, future fees are Subject to change and will be applied at the applicable rate at the time of service. Please also note that we have estimated the cost of this assessment as closely as possible based on historical records of our Assessments. All organizations are required to pay the actual assessment costs prior to the granting of accreditation. In an effort to minimize expenses, A2LA makes every effort to assign assessors within reasonable geographical proximity to the laboratory location, providing that assessors with the appropriate technical background are available in a timely manner. In addition, A2LA understands and sympathizes with our customers regarding the financial challenges that face many businesses both here and abroad. If your organization has been affected by the economic down turn and would like to discuss other payment options, please feel free to contact us. Benefits that you can expect by maintaining your valuable accreditation through A2LA includes: No application fees; Added assurance on the continuity of valid accreditation provided that you meet the requirements of accreditation; No surveillance assessments; and, Scope expansions usually do not include add-on fees. The laboratory pays the actual assessor travel costs (e.g. hotel, economy class airfare, car rental, etc.) with no mark-up by A2LA; meal costs at an established meal, per diem rate; and the assessor time required may be less or more than stated The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) sole source order/contract to American Association for Laboratory Accreditation. This firm is the sole developer/manufacturer /distributor of the product. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 813920 and the Business Size Standard is $14,000,000.00. All responses received within seven (7) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 11:00 AM Eastern Time, Wednesday, December 20, 2013. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
