- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13. The US Army Contracting Command, Tenant Contracting Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following services for preventative maintenance for (1) Reverse Osmosis/Deionization Pure Water System installed in the Advanced Chemical Laboratory (ACL) E3400. Description of Requirement: Perform preventative maintenance and services for existing Reverse Osmosis/Deionization Pure Water System (1) installed in the Advanced Chemical Laboratory (ACL) E3400. Reference the attached Performance Statement of Work for details. The period of performance for this requirement will be for 12 months; Contract begins at date of award until 30 Sept 2014. CLIN 000: Water System Operations and Facility Maintenance Government Technical Point of Contact (TPOC): to be announced upon award. Cost Breakdown: 12 months @ $______ per month for a total of $__________. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source purchase order to Neu-Ion, Inc. 7200 Rutherford Road, Suite 100, Baltimore, MD 21244. Neu-Ion, Inc. is the sole source to provide the services needed because they are the sole proprietary that can provide this service. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541712 and the Business Size Standard is $7.0. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 8:00 AM Eastern Time, December 20, 2013. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. All responses received within ten (10) days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 08:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, 23 Dec 2013. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This document incorporates provisions and clauses that in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular, FAC 05-66 effective 1 April 2013. This requirement is determined to be available from only one source because of its unique requirements. No request for quotes for this procurement will be transmitted via Federal Business Opportunities.
