THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. In preparation for a future procurement, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 811219 that can offer the services listed below: STATEMENT OF WORK Transaction Number: 580-14-1-255-0084 1. EQUIPMENT IDENTIFICATION: A.NAME/DESCRIPTION OF EQUIPMENT: MANUFACTURER - Hill-Rom MODEL - CareAssist (296 each), VersaCare (20 each), TotalCare Spo2rt (32 each), TotalCare Basic (7 each) 2. SERVICE/ EQUIPMENT The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, in Houston Texas is seeking a contractor certified to perform service maintenance on Hill-Rom Beds, to furnish all labor, materials, transportation, tools and supervision to provide preventative maintenance and full corrective service of government owned equipment; 355 each, Hill-Rom Beds (as listed above), located at MED VAMC, 2002 Holcombe Blvd. Houston Texas, for the period of January 1, 2014 through September 30, 2018 (includes base year plus four (4) option years). The Contractor shall be certified to perform maintenance on Hill-Rom CareAssist, VersaCare, TotalCare Spo2rt and TotalCare Beds. The Contractor shall maintain the equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. The Contractor shall provide repair service which may consist of calibration, cleaning, oiling, adjusting, replacing parts, changing fluids, and maintaining the equipment, including all intervening calls necessary between regular services and calibrations. All required parts shall be furnished by the contractor. New OEM parts must be used. Interested companies should submit an electronic statement/attachment outlining their company's capability and capacity to provide the services requested. Also, firms should provide their business size status in accordance with the small business administration website (www.sba.gov) for the above referenced NAICS code they fall within (i.e. small businesses, 8(a) firms, HUB Zones, small disabled veteran owned businesses, etc.) This Sources sought is for informational purposes only and all businesses able to provide this equipment are encouraged to submit information regardless of Business size. Please respond per E-Buy No Later Than Monday December 17, 2013 by 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to any future solicitation announcements.
