- Description
- Justification and Approval_Telenurse Triage Svs This request is for a follow-on four month short term contract to InfoMedia Group, Inc. (CAGE: 31JY4), to provide four months of Tele-Nurse Triage Services at Irwin Army Community Hospital (IACH), Fort Riley, Kansas for the period of 01 January 2014 through 30 April 2014. This contract will be a firm-fixed priced award and will mirror the three month short term extension of services on the current Purchase Order (W81K04-09-P-0258). There will be no option period or an extension of services. This bridge contract will provide for complete Tele-Nurse Triage Services to assist in the Clinical Operations and Support Division by providing clinical assessments and appropriate level of care support. InfoMedia Group, Inc. utilizes the current guidelines in the McKesson Care Enhanced Call Center that have been approved by IACH's Medical Staff, which is a big plus for both the IACH facility and their patients. InfoMedia Group, Inc. provides 24/7 coverage which is extremely beneficial to IACH's patients. By continuing services with the current Contractor, who already has well qualified/working providers, the government will continue to receive these uninterrupted critical services. The estimated value of this acquisition is $93,898.00. Currently there is a mandatory MEDCOM region wide contract being put in place to fulfill this type of requirement; however, to date, the award has not been made. The services are currently being provided under Purchase Order W91YU0-09-P-0258, which is set to expire 31 December 2013. Therefore, this contract is being extended only until the MEDCOM enterprise-wide nurse advice line contract is awarded to ensure continuity of these critical healthcare services. Based on the preceding facts, there is not enough time to solicit for this four month requirement without a break in services. In light of the continued need for military personnel around the world, the loss of military Physicians due to deployments at IACH, and the continual influx of both Soldiers and their dependents in need of these services, additional Nurse Triage Services are critical. Any attempt to re-compete the requirement at this late date will cause a lapse in service. InfoMedia Group, Inc. has provided exceptional services since 2009. By continuing services with the current contractor who already has well qualified and working providers, the Government will receive uninterrupted services.
