- This SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE is for market research purposes only to determine the availability of potential small business concerns with capabilities to provide the service described below. Potential offerors are invited to provide feedback via e-mail to York Barrett at york.barrett@va.gov. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Requirement: The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 20, Seattle VAMC (1660 S. Columbian Way, Seattle, WA. 98108 and the VISN20, American Lake Division (9600 Veterans Dr. SW) Tacoma, WA 98394 is seeking potential sources capable of providing Preventive Maintenance for Generators. Services under this contract will require maintenance on all, but not limited to, Caterpillar Model 3412 and 3416 and/or Cummins Model QSx15 generators. The contractor shall provide all personnel and equipment to conduct all maintenance and shall provide CAT and Cummins qualified technicians who are certified to perform work on Caterpillar and Cummins generators for all tests. Potential contractors shall provide, at a minimum, the following information to York Barrett at york.barrett@va.gov: 1) Offeror's name, address, point of contact name, phone number, and e-mail address.2) Business type and company's DUNS number. 3) Offeror's interest in bidding on the solicitation when it is issued. 4) Company's DUNS number, type of small business and Business Size. 5) Brief capability statement with enough information to determine if the company can meet the requirement. The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a Request for Quote or Invitation for Bid, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach, but rather short statement regarding the company's ability to provide the service above. Submission of capabilities statement will assist our office in tailoring the requirement to be consistent with industry standards. 6) State if you currently have a Federal Supply Contract. The capabilities will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining to Set-Aside for the Small Business Community or to conduct as an Unrestricted Procurement. Capabilities statements shall not exceed two pages. Other than small businesses may respond to this notice in the event the market does not indicate SB interest, however, preference will be given IAW FAR Part 12 and VAAR Part 812. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of available contractors. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is neither to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pays for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. All interested contractors should notify this office in writing or via email by 4:00 PM Pacific Day Time on 12 Dec 2013.
