- 1. The United States Air Force (USAF) Enterprise Robins Commodity Council is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) as a means of conducting market research to identify companies having an interest in and the resources to support this technical requirement for the repair of circuit card assemblies (CCAs). The results of this market research will contribute to determining the procurement strategy. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) with the Small Business Size Standard of $7.0 million. 2. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. 3. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. 4. If your organization has the capacity to execute the requirements in this potential effort, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, point of contact, address, email address, telephone number, and type of ownership for the organization. 5. The USAF is seeking contractors who have skills, experience, and knowledge required to successfully repair circuit card assemblies of varying sizes and functions. The CCA may range from a simple, single-sided CCA with discrete components to a double-sided or multilayered CCA with high-density multifunction devices. 6. Please provide responses to the following: •· How will you obtain the documents and drawings used to repair the CCAs? •· What repair procedures will be used to perform these repairs? •· List of equipment to be used to diagnose and repair these assemblies and subassemblies. •· What test plan will be used to verify/validate that the assembly is a serviceable/complete sell-off? •· Please provide 3 contracts (Government and/or commercial) with contract numbers and item descriptions on similar services. Identify your level of involvement as a prime or sub. •· What is your company's size status based on the various NAICS codes assigned to your company? List all NAICS used along with the corresponding socio-economic status. •· Do you have ISO 9001 or equivalent certification? 7. The PM anticipates repairing approximately 450 unique CCAs over a period of five years. 8. Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to repair circuit card assemblies in accordance with Government provided Technical Data Packages are invited to submit a response to this Request for Information no later than COB January 10, 2014. All responses under this RFI must be emailed to linda.ralston@us.af.mil.
