Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF A SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR EXISTING ORDER, NOT AN RFQ. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Acquisition Management (OAM) intends to incorporate a supplemental agreement for Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) maintenance services for two Office of Research and Development (ORD) labs in Gulf Breeze, Fl and Duluth, MN to an existing purchase order, EP-G11H-00261. The existing order is currently for EPA Headquarters VoIP maintenance services. The purpose of this procurement is to incorporate two EPA leased facilities (ORD labs) to the current maintenance contract (order EP-G11H-00261) for EPA?s Headquarters (HQ) facilities. This will provide the necessary maintenance and support coverage for the satellite facilities and maintain a consistent type of coverage for the satellite facilities and for HQ which is the host location for the satellite facilities. The contractor under the current order, Advantel, is the only source that can provide the current level of maintenance coverage to all locations due to established agreement with the equipment manufacturer. The current maintenance coverage level type is SSU, which is a previous generation of Avaya (the VoIP manufacturer) support; Avaya no longer supports this service or offers it to resellers. By incorporating the two ORD labs into the existing order, it will also provide EPA a higher level of reliable service from a single source and ensures that all components of the system receive adequate monitoring, response and coverage to keep EPA?s critical communications infrastructure fully operational. Failure to extend this order will result in the inability for any vendor to provide adequate maintenance support for all of the locations and will result in significant vulnerability of equipment and service failure. NO SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS CONTRACT ACTION. The point of contact for this notice is Marisol Ventura, Contracting Officer, at ventura.marisol@epa.gov.
